I've looked into moving to Japan. My family has a house in Setagaya, which had severely distorted what I thought Tokyo living to be. It turns out, a typical one bedroom apartment is like 20 sq meters. Separate from that, I don't b

Ok that’s Scala… Kotlin is already the primary language for all new Android applications. The interop story with Java is unambiguous: Kotlin works well with Java. For instance, Android didn’t rewrite most of their SDK in Kotlin, yet it work

Not just stable coins, holding many types of assets would help. It’s very common in many countries to hold savings in US dollars to avoid domestic currency fluctuations. Stable coins may be a convenient way to do achieve this goal, but also

I don’t think that’s true. One of the biggest use cases for Kotlin is Android development. Interop between Kotlin, Java libraries, and the Android SDK is completely seamless.

I was very excited to read LHoD after hearing so many glowing reviews, but it didn't resonate with me at all. I kind of regret spending the time to read it. Curious what you took away from it?

Why would you convert the entire project to Kotlin? It’s trivial to mix the two languages, and in fact most Kotlin applications depend on Java libraries.

It’s easy to look at something and think “I can do that”, but the reality is such a scam would be a lot of hard work. To start with, no one would know your NFT existed. If you’re really confident, then you should try it. You can always retu

If the stock price drops, yes you get paid less going forward. If the stock goes up, you get paid more. That’s how it works. Try telling Uncle Sam at tax time that you want to calculate your income tax based on your RSU grant price. I’m sur

In my experience, the stock grant from a promotion is generally 50% higher than the previous level, and base salary is around 15% higher. Given that stock is a majority of comp, a promotion comes pretty close to 1.5x the previous comp. In a

It can be valuable to take a step back sometimes and evaluate whether or not you’re strategy is appropriate for the army you have or the army you want. Yes, old world metropolitan areas are wonderful, but it’s not realistic to assume the U

Unless you’re entering an agreement where you MUST wait a year before paying the second loan off, it absolutely makes sense to compare the APR of those two loans. If you could pay the second loan after a day, you would save money.

I had a Dreamcast and loved it, but the PS2 was an amazing system. The main draw was the massive game library, great online game play, and it doubled as a DVD player. Not sure what else you’d really want?

Your question is essentially whataboutism. Both things can be wrong. We can care about this instance without diluting the conversation talking about something else that is also bad.
