You could use Imapsync and a VPS somewhere running an IMAP daemon. Then it's easy to sync back out to another email host if you hit trouble with Gmail

They show up properly for some TLDs, those that have a policy of not allowing confusing/pointless characters. Far as I can tell though, you can't register names like the following (due to TLD restrictions). http://☁→❄→☃→☀→☺→☂→☹→✝.org/

less allows you to stop and resume easily, without losing any of the output of your command (useful if you are watching the output of a process as well). Also less doesn't clutter the scrollback of your terminal with output from tail.

The only thing I've seen that didn't trust their cert was an old SonyEricsson phone. Might be worth watching if you do retro-mobile.

Thinking you have a secure connection when you don't is worse. On (generic hostile network), thinking you can check your mail safely is worse than knowing you can't.

You might find mytop easier for this, it also allows hiding sleeping processes etc.

Deciding to make it public how much you care about your users opinions of you advertising might convince a few people to turn off AdBlock. Reddit already has a reasonable number of free/unsold ad spaces.
