Sure. There's a myriad of reasons why this is the case. Traffic signals and signage aren't designed for cyclists. Google a little. Further, this is a false equivalence. When a cyclist fails to be diligent, the risks are fairly

First and foremost, learn how to negotiate. Read the book, "Never Split the Difference". Secondly, start looking for another job. Once you have an offer in hand that you'd be willing to accept, you'll be in a better pl

IT projects are often something that the organization has never done before. Given that fact, it seems ridiculous that anyone my presuppose how long and how much a thing will cost without actually having ever done the thing.

We may disagree as to whether they are or are not "grass roots" which is subjective in any case. Both Elastic and Redis Labs were formed relatively early on and are the primary contributors to both projects. There's not a g

The physics involved in multi-rotor drones and fixed wing aircraft are quite different. However, there is control software that works on either. https://github.com/iNavFlight/inav/wiki The underlying differences

Computerized stability control systems exist, are quite prevalent, and have a thriving open source community. Check out: https://github.com/betaflight/betaflight/wiki Granted, it's for hobby scale drones, but

The company making diesel engines was Thielert, which eventually went out of business. Most notably, they were available in the Diamond DA-42. IIRC, they consumed 7GPH each at cruise, which is roughly half the consumption of Draco at the

That is correct. It's twelve months instead of six. I was mistaken. Generally speaking an emergency fund should be 3-6 months of income. I justified the illiquid period by moving a third of my fund into it at a time. The interest &

Why is this getting downvoted? Current return on I-bonds is 2.52%, higher than any high-yield savings that I know of. It compounds semi-annually, tracks inflation, and there are no penalties for withdrawal. Seems perfect for an emergency
