There's a ton more context that needs to be held in a clang AST node compared to a JSON doc. Just to mention a few: file source, token range, expr/stmt/decl statements and their relation, macro expansion related info, and ton

You're comparing apples to oranges. Typing is much harder to relearn due to muscle memory. New well designed programming languages become quite popular quickly and go viral when they solve the right problems for developers. SQL is a ve

No it doesn't. Ignoring the fact that you incorrectly refer to LLVM IR as LLVM, C is a language spec and LLVM IR is a dialect. LLVM IR dialect doesn't mean much outside LLVM framework and are constantly expanded upon and improved

So that they don't misuse it. A good example is vec.empty(). There's no point calling vec.empty() without checking its return value. It helps distinguish noun vs verb.

It's a bit of a stretch to label Bitwarden users as average user. Average users don't know about password managers beyond whatever their browser supports.

like the other comment said, std::unique_ptr is not ref counted. Ref counting is one of the ways to implement garbage collection but it is not garbage collection by itself. C++ does not have garbage collection.

Why would you respond to a comment about a topic you don't understand and spread false information? You clearly cannot tell the difference between garbage collected language and smart pointers.
