use Asymmetric encryption and store the private key in an HSM. The private key never leaves the HSM device.

C macros can cause the same issue when used to concat function names using ##.

I feel this post has shown that many don't understand what AGPL is or just assumed that because the article is about Oracle and licensing then it got to be evil, let's bash Oracle!

If it's a small part you want to optimize it works great. But if all your project is performance sensitive it becomes a big hack that's hard to maintain.

if you need performance, just don't use Python. You'll be better off using C/C++.

Probably providing the option to create a btree or hash map would be nice.

> Searching is not the same thing as a range iteration, normally if you want to search a Key/Value than you'll need to scan the entire dataset. In this case, you lost the sorted keys advantage that BTree gives you. My point is that this

Agreed - but they are doing a full scan when doing searches so I don't see the benefit.

I am surprised they are using levelDB for a key/value store when they could have used a DBM variant like Kyoto Cabinet HashDB, which is way faster for such a task. Why do you need sorted keys for key/value storage?

I found imitating designs is really helpful in learning how to design. And of course spend as much time designing as you would for programming. It takes a lot of practice.

Simplicity here doesn't help. Variables aren't about how they are stored and where but more about what gets applied to them and how.

I've written memqueue ( https://github.com/halayli/memqueue/ ) for similar purposes. Memqueue is a revision-based queue server with a REST API. Multiple consumers can poll the same queue at a different pace by using revisions. A revision is

Take baby steps. Whatever you do, start with something small. A project you can finish in not more than 2 months would be ideal. If you want to establish a business, don't invent something new, pick an existing business and compete. Pick a

When you said segmented stack, It registered stack per lthread for me. Ignore my previous reply. Segmented stacks aren't possible in C, because you don't have control over the stack's growth and the MMU when a function is running. Coroutine

Segmented stacks will take much more space. One of the reasons I went with stack copy is because it allows me to create a million lthreads if I wanted without worrying about memory. Lthread is in C, an environment where you control/manage y
