One of the main problems of C++ is that programmers treat it as C with classes because that's what it feels like at the surface. They think they know it because it feels like C and many decide not to learn its patterns and details. Fro

> That, the branch predictors, and caching behaviors, n-way, alignment, etc. Those all fall under locality of reference, btw. But yeah cache and branch prediction play a huge role in the list. One thing that stung me in the past was OS s

I see. So you check the CEO of all your apps before using them? You are obviously swayed left and right by media. Why do you trust your media sources so much?

stack space is always precomputed and static. You cannot reallocate after it overflows. On the other hand, the default stack size on linux is 8k, 1M is excessive and way more than you need in a sane program that doesn't have huge buffe

If you can't trust safenet then you shouldn't use their HSM. They gave you the process of verifying that the HSM is a safenet hardware security module and that is a FIPS compliant one.

This is not C/C++ specific. It's how procedure calls work on x86. You don't need to save the stack if you have a stack per coroutine. Using madvise you can always let the kernel know of the memory you no longer need. So even

nitpick, the code check for NULLs at a low level but misses checking NULLs at higher levels like here: https://github.com/Netflix/dynomite/blob/master/src/dyn_dnod...

If it's based on Dynamo, then it's using vector clocks.

Also use gettimeofday() instead of clock(), because you don't know how far into the second you are at the time it's called.
