Same for AI coding assistants, most tools generate way too much unnecessary code. Scary part is that the code seems to be running OK.

When it comes to relying on code that you didn't write yourself, like an npm package, do you care if it's AI code or human code? Do you think your trust toward AI code may change over time?

Why is it called "gain of function" if there's no gain of function? > why lots of people are so against it Hearing "GoF is NOT GoF" just makes me suspicious instinctively , that's all - no bad intention.

Congrats to the FireFly team, this is an amazing achievement. Video of the earth rising from the horizon reminded me of Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot speech. Any opensource libraries in that satellite's tech stack will now get to bra

With privileged access, the attackers can tamper with the evidence for repudiation, so although I'd say "nothing in the logs" is acceptable, not everyone may. These two attack vectors are part of the STRIDE threat modeling ap

How can -let's say- Cursor users be sure they were not compromised? > No malicious usage was detected Curious to hear about methods used if OK to share, something like STRIDE maybe?

> "Writing is thinking" Exactly, and I also feel like the act of "transferring" one's thoughts to visual symbols (writing, coding, diagramming) helps a lot with mental defrag and garbage collection.

AI will not "replace" white collar jobs, but will replace how those jobs are done. If you're concerned, it's less depressive to think of these times as a fast transition and adaptation phase. If I make an analogy to natu

I believe it's technically possible, but I don't know if there's a tool. Btw, genuinely asking, what's your offline scenario? Long loong time ago, I used TiddlyWiki for a brief time period for my temp offline scenarios

Oh how I miss the golden days of RSS blogs :) On reading; I feel like I don't have the time or the attention span anymore. I strongly believe this is due to the "short info-pill" overload in the last decade or so. I can easil

What you've accomplished demonstrates a very important skill you have, persistence. Kudos and don't give up. About those rejections, did they effect your confidence in yourself and your skills? How did they make you feel?

Could it be referring to the semantic correctness of HTML behind the scenes so AI can reasoned about the content structure? I think this is similar to a11y standards of assigning roles etc to UI elements, so non-AI agents like screen-reader

Interesting. Why not HTML? Browsers have native basic WYSIWYG editing built in, and almost every screen we look at is nowadays HTML, including the code editor. On a `<div contenteditable=true> element, calling document.execCommand(&#x
