Efficiency of solar or wind doesn't have to come exclusively from improved conversion efficiency - that is from taking advantage of all the photons and all the wind. Efficiency gains also come from using less material for the same harv

The atmosphere then becomes a kind of carbon reservoir and we tune the CO2 content to match our needs. Either we want to control temperatures, or we want liquid carbon fuels which are, to date, the best aerial platform fuel form. For maximu

What is preventing larger players who already operate reactors from doing exactly what you propose (ie close packed supply chain)? I'm curious what kind of protection you can have for an idea that is essentially - let me put all the to

Fact 1: Physics says it should be cheaper, because of massive energy density, as you need less stuff, and so less human effort to juice the energy source. Event history: 1. lots of reactors in the 60s and 70s 2. reactors are water cooled an

Definitely nuclear. But you need to have a plant size that is right. That is, you shouldn't have grid scale reactors for this, as the power source has to be within a couple of miles of the factory/process location. So the size of

It's too bad they don't include post-use decomissioning/recycling costs. There is some really toxic crap in there Nuclear has to, so should solar. They also forget that renewables are not that versatile and only address a sma

The only way to be 100% safe and 100% fool proof is to not fly. For a mechanical system as complex as an airplane, triple redundancy with a good pilot is pretty much the best you can hope for.
