Many repeat the story that Lyft, Uber, etc. improve service to minority communities. Was there ever data supporting that claim, or was it based on PR and anecdote?

I thought this part was a very interesting perspective. ---- I read a little about the origins of Cypherpunk ideology in the 80s and 90s, and what struck me was how they talked about encryption technology the same way that right-wing liber

Use root servers like we do now. I'm not asking about doing away with DNS completely, just TLDs.

Dumb question: Why do we need generic TLDs at all? Why can't I associate any unique name I want with my IP addresses in my DNS records? Why shouldn't we use " https://ycombinator" ? Is it due only to the legacy

I strongly disagree. Racism has long existed in American society and isn't going to disappear if it's ignored. Black Americans suffering from discrimination, and their fellow Americans who care about it, shouldn't keep quiet

To be clear: The NFL broadcast I'm talking about shows every play, every moment of action. NFL games have 60 minutes of clock time; much of that time is spent between plays in huddles, etc. Thus 30 min can show you everything.

At least as of 1-2 years ago, NFL.com rebroadcasted games with everything but the plays themselves edited out. They took around 30 min. each, and were pretty watchable.
