I assume this must be because after the initial hack, every kid with a script pointed it at Equifax to see what they could get too. I would not want to be in the IT department at that company right now.

Sure but the other languages such as C++ could be directly supported. The APIS could be copied and renamed. Not hard to duplicate the functionality without seeing the internals, just time consuming.

Alternatively why not build a transpiler for android apps? Java -> C# would be quite doable, and then just style the APIs and UI layouts similiar but too similar to end up in court. Then what dev wouldn't have a go if the process c

Couldn't disagree more with this article, is this even written by a programmer? Agile takes into account the very real 'semantic cost' when translating from user requirements to actual code. Code is so specific and brittle co

Standing at work was always a fad anyway - and you can win, just do some exercise!

I exercise regularly and have always thought of a standing desk as far too extreme, Especially as programmers as we need to think though problems over several hours. The added stress of standing would just be far too much.

To add to this - we have a cardiovascular system that is kept moving by our heart pumping. We also have a lymph node system, which is moved around by us walking around (no pump). So if you are completely sedentary this can become blocked up

An airplane goes roughly 500km/h. Elons rocket was going 20000km/h - so I think it's about 40x worse actually. Not to mention a rocket goes straight down so none of that speed is lost.
