I have yet to get a good answer to this question: what do these checks do? They just confirm the developer has $100? Does Apple actually make sure signed binaries don't do anything bad?

I used exclusively Mac on my personal machines from 2005 to 2018. Then I switched to a Windows 10 laptop mostly because I was curious and it was cheap. Windows 10 + WSL is amazing. It's definitely getting better all the time while mac

Yes! This is dead on. I can't stop evangelizing Tailwind lately: https://tailwindcss.com/ If you're using any component-based framework (I use Vue) it's an incredible experience. The stylesheet they provide

Yours is amazing! By the way it has a big problem with "/" in the default settings. I tried doing a date like "08/20/2020" since that's something I need for signing forms but the slashes mangled it.

One huge difference you notice right away is groceries. Groceries in central London are half price or less what you'd pay in most of SF. Rent is definitely lower in London. That said salaries are lower in London too, so the relative &

I moved out of SF in March. Not because of the virus, I just had a long-planned move (to London) with interesting timing. Unlike many of my tech peers, I love San Francisco and the Bay Area. It's a beautiful city and surrounded in all

Here on HN we like to complain about JS frameworks and Single Page Apps. Yes, they can be slow. But they also power some great interactive web experiences like Figma or Slack that just aren't feasible to build any other way. The low

They actually could require iOS among their shoppers. I did Postmates deliveries in ~2015 and they handed each delivery person an iPhone 5c with the courier app preinstalled.

Really happy for them. Tailwind is so good that it’s actually made my website designs 5x better. I’m able to translate my thoughts into pixels so much faster and more accurately with Tailwind than with any other CSS system/framework.

I like the simple argument made here about UBI enabling efficient consumption. I worry about three things with UBI though and they're more social than economic. 1. Power Divide - society will be easily divided into two groups: those wh
