Ok that's what I'm doing too! It always works but also feels a bit messy and when I want to make a change it ends up being hard to untangle all the nested selectors.

That's interesting, I love Tailwind but I think Tailwind's responsive stuff is the messiest part. Do you have any good resources to share about doing effective and maintainable responsive design on a non-toy website using Tailwind

Oh is THAT why my dev tools are so slow? Especially in Firefox, selecting elements has been really laggy. I figured it was because of my crappy laptop. I also love Tailwind, glad to know it's about to get better.

I work at Google. Most people here do a lot of work. But maybe 5% do next to nothing, or nothing you couldn't do in 2 hours a day. I imagine this is the case at any sufficiently large corporation. So if you can find a remote job at a B

This is some lazy math: > A trailer park at 5 homes per acre and 2.5 people per household works out to 8,000 people per square mile, or more than twice as dense as Phoenix. Well yes but a trailer park is just housing. What about streets,

I agree frameworks help with the dev setup through all the cool hot-reloading tricks, I just meant because of their complexity it's one more thing you have to keep running in testing. I don't want to go back to jQuery in a <scr

It would be nice if it was easier to have a setup which is fast for development but realistically slow for testing. I develop my personal website on a 6-year-old Windows laptop which was only $750 at the time. It definitely keeps me from m

My personal theory of modern software development is that the #1 and #2 things you can to do improve software quality are: 1) Make sure devs can run a realistic version of the whole stack locally. 2) Drive incremental build times and effort

This is why some recruiters demand a DOCX of a resume, not just a PDF. They edit them before submitting them to postings. Sometimes they're honest edits to improve your chances, but mostly it's lying to get you in the door.
