On my team, when we are sketching out new infastructure, we'll fork each other's gists, which while good, could probably be more elegant since the fork experience isn't as powerful in Gists as it is in Github compare view. Pe

I think I've only ever seen platform screen doors once in my life, on the Paris metro, and I thought they were great. It ameliorated my own personal fears and general curiosity about the tracks. Why do you think they are so bad? What i

I guess it was more like, an impulse, not a conscious thought. So I had an impulse to do it, but never actually thought about doing it, and didn't realize what I had almost done until I was at a complete stop.

While driving home from work, I almost thought about speeding into the car in front of me because it would make big number.

+1 for IcoMoon. I tried a few of the other icon compilation apps and IcoMoon is by far and away the easiest to use with the best selection. There are slightly snazzier apps out there, but they just weren't as flexible as IcoMoon.

They're so so great. Unlike plastic wrap which inevitably gets wrapped in itself and you have to cut it and mess with it, this is really substantial, you just pull it out of the drawer and you're done. And I have no problems washi

I hate it too! I've started using reusable wraps, like Bee's Wrap ( http://www.beeswrap.com/ ) or Abeego ( http://abeego.com/ ).

Ugh, I was afraid of that. It looked very much like a stock photo. They really, really don't need a picture there to begin with.

Glad to see that y'all have removed the Kate Upton photo, I can see that it was just a mistake :)

I was slightly impressed after reading the blog post and then completely turned off by seeing that image. I almost thought they might have forgotten to take it off, but it seems pretty intentional. It's just so completely irrelevant to

Since you brought it up... Hulu has some of the worst ads I've ever seen. In my geographic region I have to suffer through upwards of three Cricket Mobile ads in an hour long program and they are the WORST. The Geico commercials are pr

I know of a relationship that ended because of iMessages. They had had a fight and he texted her to apologize and then he never received any responses (they went straight to his computer) and then she got more upset, he thought she wasn

Awesome! I'm really awful at drawing on my computer. Many failed attempts at trying to learn Illustrator, Gimp, etc. What's really cool about a web app of a drawing app is that you could use all the open source product tour JS l

I've been in a coffee shop that does this. You can either set the password yourself or log in via facebook. Don't remember the exact workflow, but it's possible.

Oh man, good blog post, but I opened VA-Live's website in a new tab and it scared the living daylights out of me with that awful music. I thought we weren't supposed to do things like that anymore...
