No really. They are math themselves. Algorithms have nothing to do with implementation. The whole CLRS books algorithms are written with pseudocode. By your logic Turing machines and many other models of computations are not math. Just some

Are algorithms and theory behind them not math themselves?

Very nice article. It seems most developers don't likes how prototype based object model works in JS. I wonder how Javascript object system compare to Self, or similar language IO?

I've worked on Dart and Flutter last year on a startupish project. I can say flutter is amazing. It got good ideas from react architecture (eg: managing state and declarative UI) and add many good things like very rich and well designe

Yeah, according to his book OOP is mostly about inheritance (Java/c++ style OOP) rather than message passing or objects . Eiffel even support multiple inheritance.

They made a flag TYPE_CHECKING to avoid circular import in type checking. Its ugly but works. https://docs.python.org/3/library/typing.html#typing.TYPE_CH...

js also doesn't behave as you want: var a = 9; function foo() { console.log(a); var a = 12; } foo(); $node foo.js undefined The same goes with ruby.

I think almost any thing is better than js. At least it is popular due to its actual developer's. People use it because they like it and its ecosystem was grown by them, not force of a dumb decision in 90's or company backup. Both

Type system's of typescript , mypy and julia are far better than type syatem's of java/c#/c++/go . Null safety, type inference, sanner generics, Union types, structural typing are come to mind. I think the reason is

No it's not. async/await's semantic is similar to coroutines, and is implemented by them.

How? How it's not close to typescript? I mean what are features that python's type annotation (and mypy) lacks in comparison to typescript?

This is a great book. I recommend learning this book with professor Porter's course on theory of computation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOsMcgIK95k&list=PLbtzT1TYeo...

The main problem with Juno is Atom . I really hope julia come up with better VSCode support. Atom editor is essentially broken. They should choose VSCode as their main editor.

There are areas that python is still ahead of go. Simply python having REPL to lack of REPL in Go is huge advantage. At least for me.

As I understand many Go devs are former python/ruby devs. Its limited static analysis is even great compare their former languages, There are many articles which notice type safety as advantage of Go. So they have easy to learn, very f
