What's scary is that all significant sources of pollution are going down, except the ones related to agriculture (ammonia and methane) which are showing no signs of slowing down. I feel like you can bend the heavy industry because it&

I have always wondered why DNA is an accepted evidence. It's so easy to contaminate a crime scene or bring someone else hair, skin cells, etc by mistake.

agree, especially on something as common as Redis. Being locked in is not worth the better perf on something already super-fast. But then I wonder what the business model is here? Even without being open-source, I'm constantly asking m

I'm sure Europe is less nice, but also it's hard to even try. e.g: when you get accepted into YC you immediately go to Delaware, and even if the whole company is still in europe, it's no longer an european one :/

In theory, that works in practice nope. You get a random update with a possible bug inside that is only fixed by a new version that you won't get until later. The other strategy is to wait for a package to be fully stable (no update),

How is it related to having a car that basically doesn't work? When you buy something, you expect this thing to work, then, maybe in a few years, you will need to go to a dealership.
