https://reactjs.org/ does it pretty well too.

I'm surprised that some sites just don't load on a 5 year old environment while providing nothing more valuable than sites from 15 years ago. Frameworks just need to do better.

While I like ruby, your post is completely based on your experience. I have a Koa (express.js successor) with TypeScript and it's rock solid and since I don't like rails that much, I feel pretty loose there.

Add Discourse as a rails app too which is becoming hugely popular. Also GitLab.

I agree. Mainly done PHP and Nodejs and lately helping on a ruby project but I like how it's more fun when other languages feel more tight. I feel too bad that Python had taken over the position of Ruby more or less.

While it looks 'cool', it only gives you the basics, besides you need to write some custom scripts to make sure all the logs are continuously fed into it across process restarts and you need to filter out bots with grep. Also last

So, are you saying those PHP programmers who mix HTML right into code wasn't wrong after all?

When do you ever need to read YAML through vanilla JS? Install YAML/TOML/whatever parser and you're good.

Parent's points are exactly the reason I'd never consider JSON as config format.

Experienced programmers use decent editors to indent their code anyway but at least you don't see codes with indentation going left and right at random locations with Python.

I have a feeling that it is/was preferred in rails/ruby community.

When you think about it, JSON lacks so much (check JSON5 for what it's lacking), it's hard to believe even a comment is not allowed when pretty much anything else allows, which is a showstopper by itself.

Have you considered alternatives like TOML or JSON5?

Agreed. From readability perspective, I started out with INI, which I ditched partially due to having no standard on the format and skipped JSON when it can't add comments, skipped YAML for not looking too intuitive, considered JSON5 b

Not sure if it was successful when people call it a hell to maintain and newer simpler alternatives like Parcel is gaining popularity.

I don't rsync to store /etc out of dozens of servers just to occasionally see some diffs. CUI apps are really meant over SSH imo. Like you say, local use has wider alternatives including GUI in which case I prefer SourceTree over

While tig seems popular, I just find it non intuitive. All I want to do is find changed files and check diff for some of recent commits and I really wanted a simpler tool.

And how do you do that on a remote SSH session on occasions like trying to dig repo made by etckeeper? Don't tell me to sshfs it as it will be very slow.

Maybe dead but other people may have thought it's a nice excuse to pretend the money is lost. Few years later, it may move again.

And you really believe they have lost $190mn or they pretend it's locked up until everyone forgets about the news?

BS. After a few years, somehow the money moves by being "hacked". $190mn is enough to exit scam by the rest of the people.

I think it's more like 'complete'. What do you miss from Stylus? I prefer it from SCSS when it doesn't require you to type colons, semicolons and brackets for quite less typing and everything you'd expect as a CSS p
