It looks like he hit some kind of limit from accessing too much/too often. I get linkedin is evil, but I've never run into this issue myself.

Agree with sibling comment, they are great machines if only the screen weren’t so tiny. Ideally I’d be able to do some actual work in a pinch, but it might be hard on that screen. They do have a force touch touchpad though, another reason I

Gotcha. I use a macbook pro for work and it makes it really hard to get used to the washed out colors and lower resolution screen of a lot of PC's and the macbook air, not to mention the touchpad. I'll drop in to the Apple store a

The only thing holding me back from buying one is the low quality/resolution screen. How has that affected your work? Any thoughts to share?

I think the whole point OP is trying to make is that at the moment bandwidth works sort of like gym memberships or even airline tickets - they count on not everyone showing up at once. In the even everyone shows up at once, sort of like in

I think OPs question was exactly asking the question of when these problems do arise, not how large they are when they do. I'd be curious to hear when they do, would be great if you had some real world examples.

I think this post speaks to a lot of the issues I see not just with JIRA, but with enterprise tools in general. Instead of adopting a sound process, customers will take an overly complicated business process and make the tool conform to thi

I agree - there's just always a condescending tone in the way people question the technical practices in hindsight of companies that are successful.

Went to an orthopedic doc for an achy leg/back/knee. Gave me the usual prescription: strengthen some core muscles, physical therapy, anti inflammatory meds for a couple weeks, and should be good to go. Also, however, he prescribed

One unintended consequence of cramming 3-4x the amount of people into a building designed in the 60s/70s for offices is the influx of traffic. On top of that, parking becomes very problematic. On top of that bathrooms and kitchens are

That was kind of my point. The new designs don't incorporate any new functionality. The designs don't necessarily look outdated, they look out dated to us because we live and breathe that stuff. I'm not speaking in absolutes

The banks had extremely functional websites after years of iteration. Some of those sites had been more or less unchanged since at least the early 2000's. A shining example of if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I'm 99% cer

I think a lot of us are aware that we're gambling, purely speculating. I have a high tolerance for risk, so I don't mind going in big (big for me) - if it works out great, if not, it's been a helluva ride.
