The problem is that if you are trying to measure the effectiveness of government programs you can't exclude their value in your metric. In a very simple stripped down version: * assume 20% of people need public assistance *

The parent posted relevant details to the case at hand. Your comment doesn't really add to the conversation and suggests that your opinion as a middle-schooler 20-years ago about a video that has nothing to do with this case is a more

I was confused also but I think what is being said here is that "noon" is de-coupled from "12:00" and becomes relative to the local position of the sun. So if you are at UTC-4 today your "noon" would happen at

I think the point of making the lists public is to provide information that can lead to iterative improvements. I'm not sure it will do that but I'm a bit more confident that it is a necessary first step.

I have no opinion on whether playing games for 3 or 5 or 8 hours a week is good or bad for people under 18. I do feel like a government (never mind central government) having the power to legislate at that level of micro-management is very

I don't think modern economies and supply chains work that way. It isn't like the tennis ball supply chain is an independent entity from everything else. It is all connected in somewhat intricate and non-obvious ways. It isn'
