Tree-sitter does run on the web. I got it working for my editor, but it did involve several days' worth of effort and getting into the weeds with emscripten. Details here - https://gushogg-blake.com/p/emscripten-we

I get the sense that in some ways dentistry and optometry are also kept separate because of how complex they are, and that even something like eye cancer/mouth cancer wouldn't be something a GP would look at. Not sure where they&#

Same in the UK. You get GP stuff on the NHS for free, but dental and optical is only subsidised if you're on state benefits. If you go to the GP with a health issue that's related to the mouth in some way, you'll be told to s

Seems a bit pseudo-sciencey to me. "Brain cleaning" and "Immune refresh" in particular. Beware that even if correct, looking at this chart doesn't, in my opinion, really make you any better informed about the effect

I encountered some push back on this in my "code editor from the ground up" post[1]. I think the only reasonable definition of from scratch is: Does not have domain-specific dependencies. So a code editor based on ACE or CodeMirro

Ah yes that makes sense. Always assumed the sign bit was just a flag.

OK here's how I think it works: from the wikipedia page on two's complement[1], the sign bit is the bit directly to the left of the most significant bit (not the first bit in the 32 bit representation), giving: 5 => 0101

How does this actually work? Both the post and MDN state that each bit in the 32 bit representation is inverted, resulting in: 5 => 00000000000000000000000000000101 ~5 => 11111111111111111111111111111010 But parseInt("11

TLDR I think/hope that Svelte 5 brings automatic reactivity to objects updated anywhere in the code, not just in-component assignments and stores.

It's been a while since I read it, but one of the central ideas is that we construct instances of emotions based on sensory data (from the internal systems that detect and predict our energy needs) in a similar way to how we construct
