Perhaps I’m biased as someone with a better than average sense of algorithms and discrete math, but I think such interview questions have a lot of utility, provided the job will require some analysis of algorithms, eg you’re working on the

I’m sure there are 10y SWEs (and 1 yr) that use it every day. Obviously it’s going to be irrelevant to compilers or something, but not to heuristic approaches or anything with some quantifiable (and actively quantified) nondeterminism.

On the flip side, the fact that none of these people were prevented makes me think the mass surveillance isn’t as scary as we thought. The targeting of black activists is nothing new. The US law enforcement and intelligence services have be

In the 70s it was arguably safer to do so in Afghanistan than the US. Now it’s legal some places in the US and Afghanistan has a brutally repressive moralistic government.

Imagine visiting Afghanistan! Just hopping in a bus and going over land!!! The reason? It’s more enlightened than the US, and you can smoke hash. How times have changed…

From what I understand, the EC benefits ‘the States’ as landmasses, and since most of those lands are rural, and rural areas tend to vote GOP, the GOP ultimately benefit. Obviously it wasn’t set up to be like this: the GOP just evolved to f

As someone who struggled with and had to ‘first principles’ social skills, I feel this even in many mundane interactions. People wear masks all the time because sometimes their true self is not conducive to what they are doing at that time.

I know Russia and Romania have strong orientation towards math+programming in their culture. Would not surprise me if Moldova does too, and noopept is the ‘Viagara’ to this particular activity.

How long should one rent for in this hypothetical situation? Could a section 8 resident buy a house, and pay for a 1 month short term rental in the interim and meet your criteria? 6 mo? A year?

Back in 2011 you could spend less than $20CAD and get enough noopept powder for months and months. Tastes like shit though (imagine the most bitter thing you’ve ever had x10) so I’d recommend shelling out more for gelcaps, or make them your

I used to take noopept in my undergrad. No idea if it worked, or if I just started trying and that’s why I’m doing well now. Recently I started to microdose shrooms. Anecdotally, I can juuust feel the ‘come-up’ ie light feeling in stomach a

Look at crime rates since the 2000s, or the 90s, or the medieval period. This is the safest period in human history, more so if you live in a high income country.

It blows my mind that Attenborough would ever be replaced as a narrator because he is the best of the best vis-à-vis nature documentaries. Or to provide an Americanized analogy, you wouldn’t replace Morgan Freeman in a situation where you n
