I have a Pixel 4, so far this feature has been near useless. At times it's nice to reach towards my phone and wake up the always-on display to see what notifications are present but that's about it. Song changing, etc feels gimmic

The idea is that by reducing density (and thus community transmission), you flatten the curve and minimize the number of people concurrently infected. This reduces strain on a fixed healthcare resource pool and avoids situations like we saw

What makes you think no one is considering how to address spoofing? It seems likely to me that many of these companies have considered these cases in far more depth than you or I have.

The article doesn't claim that the content of the groups is indexed or can be read unauthenticated. It states that the group can be joined using the indexed link.

The article calls this a "bug", but I don't see how this can be anything other than working as intended? I generate a link X to do Y on application Z. I post link X on a public website. Crawlers index the public site. When I

This is particularly bad in the food/recipe space. I've wondered if it's for SEO or if it's to stretch the content length of a short recipe and allow more spots for ads.

This is unsurprising given their positioning in the market. Apple sells exclusively premium devices (for the most part). A huge portion of Android's install base is comprised of budget devices whose users are less likely to spend money

Yikes, that's about as bad as a vulnerability gets for a public cloud provider. Checkpoint has been having themselves a month with TikTok, Zoom, and now Azure (even if the actual disclosure happened in 2019).

How so? This is an enterprise play. An integrated, fully featured chat app are table stakes to be considered against the likes of Microsoft Office. This isn't chasing some hot fad.

I actually really liked App Maker. I started a project on it in my Gsuite domain and was able to get a functioning prototype up in an afternoon starting from 0. Then I ran into the biggest limitation that became a total nonstarter - it'

Does Microsoft make any of their own silicon? It feels like Google has been directing their in-house designs on ML/TPUs while Amazon went all in on ARM. It will be interesting to see how those bets pay off.
