Well that would not work as the metadata is also part of the sha, and if you have a sha predictably contain or hash to itself you have a bad hashing algorithm. (Unless of course you mean sha of the weigths and not the gguf itself)

Personally both, i use openscad with opencode, and paste images but it is pretty often the modell decides by itself it wants to see a render and uses the render shell commands to get a image to look at.

We do know about the hardware needed for a given token speed. What that hardware costs, and electricity prices. With that its easy calculations to get about the profit margins for a given price for a given model.

I find a llm in a harnes combined with manual ripgrep exploration is really effective of getting codebases. But you font always want to find what you find.
