I do most of my processing before hitting the shutter. Thus it’s not necessary for me. But I appreciate the suggestion. Edit: I don’t shoot raw now. I’ve found it unnecessary. I’m not a professional :)

That's nothing. Try working out what version of the .Net framework you need or are running!

Not necessarily. The main filter caps can retain a high voltage depending on how it’s wired and if the designers installed a bleeder resistor and if the production guys didn’t remove it to save a few cents.

110v can fuck you up. Don’t take your own advice please. At least no one else should. Isolation transformer will only stop you getting killed one of three ways. Worth backing my experience up as well. Ex EE covering RF and power in defence

Yes they are terrible. Should be consigned to museums and never celebrated. My grandmother had a tube TV with a hot chassis. The Bakelite controls were on chassis connected metal shafts. The only protection you had from being killed was bee

You can still kill yourself with an isolation transformer fairly easily if you don’t know what you’re doing. See my other comments about earth assumptions.

Polarised cord only works if your house sockets are wired correctly which is not necessarily the case and your earth bond might not be as good as you think it is. Always assume that the lowest competence is applied when it comes to safety e

Famous last words. Leave that scope probe ground clipped on something and every earth is floating live on your bench. Source: ex EE.

Yep I chucked my adobe sub this year as well finally. Was hard getting off lightroom but I found that the apple photos app is good enough on the mac.

I'm not sure I need an abject justification of why I posted that as I think it's fairly obvious, but here goes. I posted it because quite frankly Windows 11 is less notably productive and more distracting which is a net reduction

Yeah but it punches you in the face so often it's a net loss. This is what is frustrating. The core of windows and the shell is fine. It's just got a veneer of diarrhoea over everything. I'm at a complete loss at the moment o

Windows is just a burning trash heap at this point. I hate every moment of using it when I have to. How they can use the "professional" moniker with a straight face I don't know. It's a shame because it could be better i

Yeah there was a "crap zone" of Apple stuff around the butterfly keyboard disaster. The new M1 kit is completely 100% different grade of hardware. I have no issues with macOS UI as such. It takes about 6-9 months to get used to it

The thing is that sort of stuff is what builds market share and keeps it. Once you have the tools that allow you to do that level of integration then they become leverage to stay on a platform. Without it, retaining users is difficult. Linu
