It's all cultural though. Other people with other culture would find disrespectful that you don't dig up your dead once a year to wash them up and give them new clothes.

Thank you. Do you know of any effort to port GeoDjango functionality to other ORMs ? Or is this something Sorcery supports ?

Thank you for pointing to the performance improvement, although I never found the templates to be the bottleneck (insert usual suspects here) it's good to know. Since I actually started my journey into python web development with flask

We had to integrate the solution of our bank (see https://paiement.systempay.fr/doc/en-EN/form-payment/quick-s... ), which was not very complicated since it's basically just a form, a hmac signature and a

Everything you wrote is true, however I think using another ORM in Django is asking for trouble, or at least it's missing a lot of the benefit of Django. The way models work with admin, forms, etc is to me what makes Django so efficien

Thanks for pointing to Starlette, I didn't know it and it looks interesting. I completely agree with you on Django. I've had the chance to implement an e-commerce solution in Flask and another one in Django and the process has bee

I do not consider myself an audiophile (too much BS in this field) but I do buy lots of physical music releases (vinyl and cds, preferably cds). Beside the obvious audio quality, there are other reasons to do so, all of them as a whole maki

I like it. Maybe because it's explicit. I never liked the old % style. I may switch to f-strings one day. So much for "There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it."

I'm not sure why Flask is often recommended either. It seems to me that it's somewhere between Bottle and Django, playing the strange role of a not-so-lightweight, not-so-unopiniated framework. But I should probably reserve this r

The article seems to put the burden of performance on the developers... but I've been in situations where no matter what I did in favor of performance, the efforts were always negated by the installation of third party marketing tools.
