Just grab the gitpro book and spend 3 minutes copying one of the diagrams and the description (or use the website). I understand what you're saying: I have helped some friends who were that guy trying to bring it in.

Looking into what you said, that is what happened. I'd always heard that said about the tool we used today to point out "It does way too much for a single SCM, you have to find what YOU need a SCM to do and use that".

Git isn't an SCM, it's a SCM building toolkit. You personally do not have to understand all the parts, but you do need someone to build a SCM for you out of it and tell you what the parts are then.

They do a completely different thing than netflix: Super fresh episodes a day later. Netflix is the equivalent of watching last seasons DVD release. I can't see netflix having even 1/5th the cost per episode hulu does.

Apple doesn't destroy OSS. It DOES however make the GPL code unusable. I'm okay with that: I don't really like the gpl. There is a very vibrant non-gpl OSS community around OS X and iOS.

Now I want you to take that brightness slider, and drop the brightness on the phone 30%. Oh look, you just bought a good chunk of extra battery life. And with the bright colors you can still see stuff.

>This is crucial if Apple wants the OS to continue to look consistent, because there is no way all developers are going to go back and redo the icons for all of their 900 000 apps! And this is part of the point I think about the huge cha

In addition to the legibility enhancement, check out the larger text sizes.

If it's age, you're getting more farsighted, and need to go to the "increase text size" setting, which works considerably better than anything in iOS6 You might click "Increase text legibility". I'm stoked

The title confused me: It was redefinition of a GC related function that lead to the bug. It has nothing to do with the existence of a GC on iOS.

Turn down the brightness. Seriously, if you're getting headaches you have it way too high for your normal environment's lighting.

From what I've seen via daltonize/XScope/etc iOS 7 is significantly clearer for many apps for the common 2 types of color blindness. Do you have tritanopia or something else? The weather app isn't in "iOS7" def

Looking at examples using XScope color blind modes, the default colors, and a few different colors (such as reds and greens), iOS7 is far more legible in color blind reduced palettes than iOS6 is that I can see. If you turn on the "thi
