Apparently there have been high level court cases about this (last discussion had a guy posting the case). The 18% extra if portrayed as a "automatic gratuity" is not technically legally required. It was some case about people getting arres

I think it makes a good point on how much time people spend on certain activities. Domestic cleaning/yardwork and Commute times are non-trivial portions of our life you get a hearty time benefit by eliminating/paying to eliminate.

Question, why don't people just use OpenGL ES on Windows/Mac/Linux as well then? It sounds like the right level of not-backwards compatable, yet available everywhere

Are you sure that applies for businesses? Most laws for consumer protection are personal, not business level.

I have done iPhone consulting for years. Don't hand over rights to use the work until they've paid. Assign copyright, don't do work for hire. etc. Have cancellation clauses that detail EXACTLY how the end of the relationship works. Get larg

I've heard this same sentiment from numerous programmers, including many who prefer Linux. I'm thinking this is probably an informed opinion, not an uninformed one, and should probably not be in the negative in votes.

The wordpress people here are being prissy about things outside the licensed code. That's not GPL people, that's WordPress people picking the wrong license. They shouldn't be using GPL if they want that.

Okay, I looked into it: Chrome disappears and reappears when I toggle down to 12+ Twitter is (mis)labeled at 4+ I don't have flipboard on my iPhone. It did take a second for them to disappear. I'm pretty sure a turning off and on will make

Safari is disabled on the same screen install of apps that allow nudity is disabled on (General -> Restrictions). 500px rated their app 4+, when their app should have been 12+ or 17+ by appstore rules.

The same page that allows parents to disable the install/use of apps with too high a rating also allows them to disable Safari.

Restrictions are off by default. It's up to the person with money to enable them before giving the device to the person, and periodically confirming they're still there.

Parents who buy iPodTouches for their children instead of WiiU's want the parental controls to work. When their 6 year old shows their church friends boobies on their iPodTouch, they get mad and instead buy nintendo.

My above comment might get you there. That said: I dislike the single user nature of the devices as well. I understand WHY they do it, but dislike it personally. Also: iPodTouch costs about $200, which is the same as a handheld gaming hands

It will prevent a lot of 14 year olds, not all of them for sure. Either way, Apples goal is to make the stock software prevent it. Also: iOS6.0 JUST got a JB. 6.1 is about to drop I am a realist: I think parents will often care. Many othe

To take water from the surface of the earth, separated or not, you have to spend a CRAP TON of energy. Moving the fuel to release such energy to space is almost by definition cheaper than moving the separated storage medium.
