I've been doing a lot of playing with Google Container Engine (hosted Kubernetes) on Google Cloud, and have been very impressed so far. Can anyone who has worked with both offer some thoughts on how the two compare? I don't know i

FWIW, I'd love to have Kubernetes clusters spanning a region with multiple regions/providers managed by Ubernetes. That would be the sweet spot for our particular usage case. This is only one point of data for you, of course.

Important to note: You can whitelist IPs if you are worried about getting locked out from work/home. They may change periodically, but that's pretty easy to update as well.

We were looking at this, but noticed that you have to one run cluster per availability zone. Any plans for being able to run a cluster across an entire region within GCE?

FWIW, we absolutely loved it at the last place I worked. We were all too happy to let AWS host our Postgres instance (RDS), our static assets (S3 and CloudFront), and a bunch of other things. We weren't particularly locked in, either.

There are numerous corporations that would be negatively impacted by this trade deal. It's not a white-and-black "all corporations would love this deal" type situation.

It's great when it works, but without the dive you are screwed. In the present era, it's a gimmicky offense that fails spectacularly if your opponent is talented and prepared. You need only look at Paul Johnson's bowl record

GT and Paul Johnson still punts and goes for the PAT pretty often. It's very situational, though he does go for it on 4th far more than most BCS-level teams. He's not doing what the aforementioned highschool coach does, though. Al

This definitely works at the highschool level, but becomes much more risky and nuanced in major collegiate BCS-level games, or especially in the NFL. On-sides kicks are incredibly difficult to recover when your opponent has been coached to

We're still a ways away from having to make our choice of container orchestration framework(s), but it seems like it's getting to be an increasingly difficult decision to make. There are a lot of great pieces that can be used inde

It doesn't look like he actually shared the scripts for this year's benchmarks, unless I am missing something. That's what I'd be looking for, not so much some basics on the clusters and the workload.

I've been hesitant to spend a ton of time playing with Kubernetes yet, since it is still in such a state of flux (and the docs are woefully inadequate). With that said, if anyone can make something like this awesome, I'd put my mo

This is probably a baseless notion, but having nursed along a mid-2010 Macbook Pro alongside a Linux/Windows Desktop, I find myself thinking that the Linux WiFi situation is now the easiest of the three (on Ubuntu, at least). Of course
