That is definitely the idea. But, the point here concerns the opportunity for crime-making by the incentivized Best Buy employee. Nothing in that process raises the barrier to that happening.

If that is true, I guess all the “sustainable clothing” brands are just achieving the impossible.

The problem here is pseudo-philosophical at most but if there’s an easy answer, it’s definitely not to interpret the metaphor literally. If the entities are exchangeable (as you treat them) then the premise void. Are you sure you understa

Whether OP peanut it or not, patents “incentivize” innovation with a terribly simplistic model of what that involves. The difference between “innovation” and “implementation” is like the difference between a business and it’s business plan.

No. But we could compare against our individual cultural alignments and use that. And we can call it whatever we want.

One of his regular points that is hardly controversial as far as I can tell. It seems solid to me. I think your summary gets at a key aspect of it too.

Any evidence for this being “degrading”? Anecdotal evidence? It sounds farcicle, propagandistic, and at the very most an extreme rarity. Although sure, plenty of people in any line of work will take pride in what they do, you are shaming so

Good question. I recommend the podcast Economic Update : https://player.fm/series/economic-update-with-richard-d-wolf... It’s also available on iTunes and all the podcast apps. For books, read Capitalist Realism by

I am curious how this effects the compiler in particular?Does the compiler measure this in some way and respond with different behavior? Or is it already designed less efficient to account for these types of operations? Or a mixture of both
