Thanks for the reminder. I suffer from the same habit and cannot be reminded enough to exude more bullshit. Please excuse me, I meant to say that you seem to be inexperienced and just making excuses. ;)

I agree with your conclusive point. On the others, I'm not sure we need to worry about losing tribalism any time soon so I hope you're not losing sleep over it.

It is a 'winning strategy' only for the winners. We can just as well call it a 'losing strategy'. As the players become more intelligent, they are able to cooperate better and everyone wins, meaning cooperation is even &

As it goes, the literal "suits" are gone, replaced with hoodies, and it's onto another cultural abstraction of revolt. I am quite hopeful in the long term but the prize is beyond the eyes. Symbolic revolution is the glaring f

Nice! Thanks for pointing this out. This could be naive but maybe the script transition can be a hiring opportunity for those like myself... not that there are many of us.

Hmmm... the Greek tragedy 'The Bacchae' addresses the fate of a society which suppresses "anger" as she suggests. Suspiciously, it was not mentioned in Nussbaum's presentation. In the play, Thebes suppresses the les

I have the same question. If I remember right, it's going to happen in 2020. I don't work with a studio yet but studios who buy the software don't seem too worried for some reason, even though their pipelines depend on it. Ma

Thank you. My bookworm habits make this hard to accept, but your advice reflects my experience learning Python as well. The python.org tutorial was better than anything. Would you also recommend learning CSS, HTTP, PHP _before_ the Django t

Doing VFX pipeline dev here and none of the softwares support 3 yet. Houdini/3ds Max/Maya are all 2.7 only. I have not even seen mention of moving to 3.

Can someone recommend a learning path for building Django sites/apps to someone who has no web dev experience but uses python for scripting and workstation utilities? In particular, I use python for VFX/CGI scripting.

Sincerely, thank you. I actually do this thing a lot, and one of these little ideas (usually artistic) can last from a day to about a week maybe. It is my own little idea that I will just appreciate and it stays good or it goes away. Maybe

Working for 4 years as a videographer for Snowboarder Magazine convinced me there is a lot of truth in this claim made by the title. In action sports, the "head game" is often valued over the physical one and my experiences of bot

How am I "hating" if I didn't blame them for anything, or say anything hateful? Or, what did I say that is hateful? I will apologize to Nestle for it. Is that what you want?

Yeah, it is not like vinyl. There are a handful at most in each big US city. The cost of entry is a ton of time learning from archaic resources, more time finding the devices and the money to accrue them.
