   Predictions of events occurring are quite easy to make. Predicting the exact timing of those events in order to make money from trading on them is much more difficult and risky.

   Then they should seek the advice of a professional before signing a very large contract in the form of a mortgage. Executives shouldn't be held responsible for people who don't read fine print or who fail to understand how mortgages work.

   At the time building search engines wasn't seen as sexy or profitable. I also don't think they had much interest in running as business.

    Walmart has similar power to destroy your business if they refuse to sell your product. Google has no obligation to help keep your business afloat in the same way Walmart doesn't owe your product a spot on its shelves.

    LinkedIn has a much more sophisticated, educated, wealthier and more focussed user base. They also have a strong and consistent revenue stream that is diversified.

    Unless she was making north of 100k yearly that is an excessive amount of debt to take on. If instead she would have bought a less expensive house she would be in a much better position today.

    If you can't make clear judgement while drunk, such as not driving, then maybe you shouldn't be getting drunk in the first place. Driving is a privilege you kill someone while drunk and you should NEVER be allowed to drive again.
