Maybe. Still no need for the government to provide such a service to 3rd parties.

There is not much automation with flatbed scanners. (neither with DSLR). Post processing is the same if you chose so. Negativelab Pro converts negatives to a usable image without issue. You can always tweak settings if you want. It works fo

DSLR (or mirrorless) scanning is way superior to flatbed. Not just quality but also speed. You can "scan" a roll of 36 pictures in ~10 minutes compared to 5 minutes per frame with a flatbed.

Better use a macro and a lightbox, photograph your slides/negatives.

Only if you use h3. There are other ALPN values.

We can though. Look at games, lots of custom protocols and custom ports. They still work. Shitty corporate networks are not the norm.

Nikon does not - in general. It's only for this special usecase unfortunateley.

So not a problem. See XFS and ext4 as you wrote. I don't care about legacy filesystems. Neither should Nikon. Besides, even if Nikon stores them in different folders, they could keep the numbering. Not reset it to 0. Best of all worlds

10000 is not many. It's not even a power of 2 so there is no technical reason for that number. The fact that Nikon (according to the article) is able to provide a fixed firmware is proof enough.

Yes. On camera it's not an issue. The issue comes when you want to store more than 10000 pictures (or even a subset who happen to have the same numbering) in the same folder. But I already wrote that subfolders don't count. To quo

No it's not unique enough. D750 has this naming scheme: DSC_4203.jpg (or nef). Which obviously wraps at 9999. Z7 has SZ7_1234.jpg - still not better. Several subfolders don't count, it's the same folder that is important.

Nikon should fix file numbering in general.

Irrelevant, write clearly or others will interpret it differently than you intended. Twitter now being called X can go undetected by users, simply because everything still works the same as before the non-completed namechange.

Yes. In Europe it's common to use superior text messages like Signal. Even Whatsapp is better than iMessage.

At least for Youtube the 2nd statement is true. You can see it in videos with the spike after an ad segment.
