Oddly I don’t feel like I sleep better, but probably do. But I’m sure you’re right about the impact of sleep as a contributor to the overall clearing.

Roughly what I follow. I pour chia seeds into everything I eat. Also: edamame, goji berries, green peas. Etc etc. My particular motivation is 1) health, but 2) I lift quite a bit and try to get as much protein from food as possible.

Fascinating to hear. I am trying to cut alcohol - still not entirely successful. But I've been able to cut for months at a time. Whenever the cut happens, I feel my brain sort of "return" roughly a week or two in. I'm no

Looks like a fresh take on the topic. But I was reminded immediately of this Dan Luu post with the same title. https://danluu.com/look-stupid/

Yes - I think the general approach of collaborating on things with your kids is the way to go, though not always the path I choose (I'm a normal dad with my own pluses and minuses). But if you only ever say no, or the reverse, and neve

My kiddos don't have that access either. They do have their own iPads but not with unlimited access. Most common usage: flights, long drives. Otherwise, no weekday or weekend usage for the most part. As for the shitstorm, yes, they get

Or, meet halfway. Talk to her ABOUT the games. At least attempt that. Reminds me of a family member who complained about his oldest playing Minecraft. He said “I don’t understand it” - guy is 49, grew up in Montana, shot guns as a teen. Ver

I’m a parent. Girls 7 and 4. I think you’re right about a number of parent habits. Hard to impose a device limit on a kid if that kid watches you use your device constantly. I’m not some hero here - constantly reminding myself to be aware.

What a statement at the end. You are absolutely right. I hear “x tool doesn’t really work well” and then I immediately ask: “does someone know how to use it well?” The answer “yes” is infrequent. Even a yes is often a maybe. The problem is

I agree! I just think that order matters. Govt creates something: you see that tight control from the beginning. Makes logical sense. Private company creates something gov't sees as a threat: private companies are allowed to express op

I'm not well-read on the history of nuclear, but is it the case that nuclear developed first in government and was then spread to private industry via gov't outreach/motivation? Here, I think we're talking about the oppo

I thought this was a flimsy piece. Agree with your conclusion. Also - I'm surprised the government didn't say "ok" and then use Claude (as they wished) anyways. Don't know the details and am oversimplfying, but seem

Funny. I also have a Boxster. 2014 981 S. I love natural aspiration 6 cylinder cars. Smoother in what sense? My Boxster is stick so the shifting experience is very different. The flat-6 is a remarkable sound - intoxicating. Especially purel

I have a Mazda CX-9 with an I4 and, my anecdote, it sucks on gas. About 14 mpg in non-highway short hop driving. That might be fine as part of larger group but it always feels embarrassingly low.

I drive that exact car! It is awesome. Incredible power. Silky smooth on highway. Sounds like a beast on start up. I regularly get 36/37 mpg on a long drive. I prefer the sound of the B58 in the m340 over the S58 in the m3 but they are

My simple route for handling slow replies: 1. Quick email saying “acknowledge, will work on a reply with estimate target date” 2. Proper reply ideally by target. Guilty as charged.
