I did a deep dive analysis on the article 'On Having Enough Socks' ( https://www.gwern.net/Socks ) which on the surface is a great tale anyway and a recommended read but when I broke it apart and re-wrote and put it

I've tried it. One crucial bit of this software is the ability to make chains of cards/items easily so as to link ideas together. They are called 'note sequences' in the app and they can be viewed in the Outliner. There

I did not know that you could make polls on HN and I’m also 5 karma points short of being able to make them. Besides that, I don’t think that I would make polls here, I value the good story links posted and the insightful replies, and often

Did you know that Flickr actually started out as an online multiplayer game, with file sharing as one if its features. The game flopped, but the file sharing bit was redeveloped into Flickr. Some of the files used to have .GNE in their url&

Yes just checked earlier when I saw activity here. Ive actually been getting reports for a few days about accounts being in a breach from iOS and Google and I have diligently changed my passwords. Then looked at the old Evernote account and

It's a shame the article didn't even mention the UK's National Quantum Computing Centre. Not a very well researched article tbh. https://www.nqcc.ac.uk Edit: I should mention that this place is at Harwell. I work
