What do you mean? The layoffs have nothing to do with people loving their jobs or being loyal to their employers.

Yes, thats a win but use it casually when needed because it depletes you. You can’t change your nature, but you can oscilate it here and there. A drink helps too

Thats not quite true. The “lone genius” type went against the grain and created something new while still showing some skill (well, that’s debatable in modern art).

Good. However, on a smaller phone such as Iphone SE the viewport gets cropped all around and I don’t see around 20% of the content.

I guess there’ll be less collaboration and less sharing with the outside world, people will still collaborate/share but within smaller circles. It’ll bring an end to the era of sharing is caring interent as it doesn’t benefit anyone

I remember my first PC had a HD of around 20Mb. It was vast at the time, I had so much software to keep me busy for a while that I I felt overwhelmed. Amongst those there was Windows 3.0, taking probably a whopping 3mb

Society does need quiet thoughtful people even though they’re usually outside the spotlight and harder to get their recognition.

Personally Im more on the introveted side and that is due, I think, to a sensory sensitivity. I could switch extroverted but it’s exhausting, possibly less if I drink but it’s still taxing. No amount of personality retraining would change t

I guess it works out for you but I’d be inconvenienced for not being able to move around and paranoid that I may jerk the wire powering the machine. Still glad you were able to find a solution for your setup though.

Linux isn’t perfect but it’s far away from the compromises one needs to make to use Windows. It’s weird frogs are comfortable slowly boiling even when Microsoft turns on the heat to the max.

If it were forgotten it’s worked as it did. The problem it’s that it’s nerfed to funnel you through the new AI or Cloud user harvesting.

How about they spend that time preparing to become better teachers/professors? Also there’s a lot of paperwork that eats into their time and energy, why not use AI use AI as a tool to assist?

If you drop a frog in a pot of boiling water, it will of course frantically try to clamber out. But if you place it gently in a pot of tepid water and turn the heat on low, it will float there quite placidly. As the water gradually heats up

Yes, I agree with you. It’s become quite ridiculous. I expect things will turn for the worse and comments would be used against people in various ways if it’s not already happening, eg. being scanned on social media upon entering the US. Da

I noticed I was shadow banned on youtube (for comments). I have no idea what was the reason because I rarely comment and am very civil when I do. It doesn’t bother me much though, I was just curious how it happened.

This is not about the job being complex, they’re the top of the food chain. Also they have a network that an automated system could not replicate because it’s not a technical problem but more of a people problem
