This is a very accurate statement. Especially when I have non-technical family members buying them and bragging to me about it. Reminds me of the 90's with those cable black boxes that gave you free HBO etc.

I wish I could. I'm one of those city folk with street parking only. There is a free charger within walking distance of my home, but it's always in use :(

When I took the Network+ exam in 2008 there was a camera at every desk looking down on you. I didn't think much of it - still a little weird though.

Even in Baltimore where police response times can be total garbage..they will show up for shot spotter. At least from my experience. Calling 911 for anything else there is a long delay unfortunately. Last time I called for a car jacking r

The last point is a hard one when the perpetrator is a 11 year old kid who watched a TikTok video online on how to steal a Kia/Hyundai.

I've tried to offer alternative options (Intel Gaudi, AMD, etc) to researchers here on campus. There is zero interest.

In my CCNA training in 2007ish we actually got to use an ISDN simulator of some sort. It was a large physical box. I think you can buy them on eBay still. Pretty sure this is no longer on the CCNA unfortunately. Maybe just a small mentio

I think this is still covered on the CEH exam. Or at least mentioned along with war dialing, wardiving, etc.

I'm not sure how accurate this is. I work at a university supporting researchers doing all the typical "AI" research. LLMs, CV, etc. All NVIDIA discounts is the A5000 card for EDU. Maybe one other card they aren't in

Consumer grade cards are strictly forbidden in data center environments due to Nvidia license agreement. But there are even US companies that will sell you eight 4090s in a 4U box with all cooling shrouds removed in place of liquid cooling

I understand why these get posted. But not everyone is in the same situation as the author. I can bike to work, I'm extroverted, and I like free coffee. So I go into the office 2-3 days a week by choice. I have no on-site requiremen
