Yeah there's loads of work around from what I've seen.

Whether the European social model is sustainable is another question. There are plenty of apparently reasonable economists that argue it is not.

I've travelled by train in the UK since the early 80s and it's far worse now. Feet on seats, bags on seats, people talking on phones using speakerphone, watching videos without headphones, dreadful music leaking out of headphones,

Some companies are actually having to turn work down. I work for one. I'm not expecting a no raise policy anytime soon.

I seem to recall they came out in favour of the Iraq war, which in hindsight didn't turn out to be particularly astute. Surprised to see no mention of that.

No, you changed 'are involved with' to 'it is', which changes the meaning. And please don't accuse me of changing what I wrote.

It all depends I suppose. The merest whiff of Cerutti 1881 takes me straight back to a particular girlfriend in the mid-90s.

Firstly you misquote me, secondly you cite a highly artifical and slightly bizarre example that if anything disproves what you are trying to prove, and thirdly I'm not really sure I see the point of quibbling with the fact that our sen

By this area do you mean fragrances? Or the application of AI in this specific example? If the latter I'm inclined to agree with you, since there's already more fragrances out there than I could ever hope to sniff, and many of the

I don't think either side comes out of this well. Rich folk fleeing to their hideaways belies a kind of sociopathic contempt for the plight of their fellow humans, who are indeed often the people they rely on for their livelihood. But

For some reason it's actually a lot less fun taking pictures with my fancy camera these days now that everyone has a pretty decent camera with them all the time. A shame!

After watching a number of downturns over the decades I've become prudent, even parsimonious in my approach to outgoings. The result is that even though my pay is average and I live where house prices are high, at times like these I do

So it was a personal attack then? My last word: we should hardly be surprised that the product of a couple of generations of laissez-faire leftist moulding acts as if it doesn't have to listen to authority. This is precisely the intent

I'm not saying anything particularly controversial here. Even Gordon Brown - our last Labour Prime Minister - recognised as such and was seeking to create some kind of coalescing new national identity. When even the left recognise it

I think a lot of people - including me to an extent - are about to come crashing into the real world at 1000 mph. The difference is that I've suspected this was in the post for a long time. It only takes a few hours or less on a plane

You'll likely still be able to sell gold for something in all but the very worst SHTF scenario. I'm not sure you can say the same about many other types of investment. Those ETFs won't buy many rabbits for the pot.
