Add to that: you have to be prepared for sudden changes in functionality and scope. If you dont then the painful truth mentioned will only apply to utopia (never been there but I hear everyone is rich and thin with infinite throughput).

Or you get away with selling bad software at exorbitant prices. Alot of big companies do fine (financially) with the waterfall methodology.

The Spyder3 ide might be worth looking at. It won’t be as nifty with graphs and charts but its great for iterative data wrangling and debugging.

Yeah - blame the developers. 90% of the “bad” code i have written was forced by the manager/company. The proper / structured way considered too expensive.

Unless you are saying that “EEE” and being destructive is a necessary condition to being successfull I don’t see how that comment is relevant to the issue with standards I addressed.

MS is infamous for ignoring and/or breaking standards. Using your market powers to lock users in to your own proprietary (modified copies of open) standars are NOT beneficial to anyone but MS.

I use both and could never feel the speed difference. On the contrary the lack of control over browser behavior in chrome is a constant annoyance.
