Just an FYI: the signup form breaks in very obscure ways if one is using an ad-blocker. It's generally a good idea to never let exceptions from analytics code break your own logic, since not everybody will (or can) disable their adbloc

I think this is _could_ be a great idea, but the landing page is doing too much "telling" and not enough "showing". I'd really need to see an example of a PR & it's presentation before I'd be sufficien

Very cool. You might consider adding a short (a few ms is enough) fade in/out when toggling notes to avoid clickiness.

Why not Light Table? It's released under a GPL license [0] and seems to very much be going for "super extensibility". Granted, it does use a lisp, but ClojureScript is pretty nice. [0]: https://github.com/Li

You cannot (verify using hashes that is). On the other hand, you can use git URLs with commit hashes, which works pretty well.

There is this React plugin/extension/whatever for using requestAnimationFrame with "plain React" https://npmjs.org/package/react-raf-batching But as you can see, the documentation is a bit sparse ;)

In addition to HN (as noted by my sibling) Facebook has extended both PHP and JavaScript with their own DSL's and syntax. I'm sure there are many more, but a lazy comment deserves a lazy answer ;)

An alternative approach that I've implemented in the past [0] (and found quite useful) is client-driven server-side inlining of linked resources. What this means in practice is that the client specifies (usually with a query parameter)

as bhauer pointed out, 500's are counted in those latency figures. If you look at the error count column, rails does miserably in everything but the "single query" test, which is not a common use case.

Yes. The biggest difference is that there is no global namespace for modules. require('my-dependency') returns a value, rather than aliasing identifiers into the current scope. So you end up with code like: var myDe

Could you provide an example scenario in which this would cause a problem? This has never had any noticeable effects in the 2 years I've been using Node and CoffeeScript together.

Another nice feature of angular is that templates are promise-aware. So the following controller is equivalent for most purposes: function thingCtrl($scope, Thing) { $scope.things = Thing.all() } thingCtrl.$inject = ['$s

Not very opinionated at all, your application controller must expose a method to authenticate a user, and another to get the current user (defaults to :current_user which works out-of-the-box with Devise). Both method names can be configure
