No, they don't. You can absolutely run ActionCable with the postgres adapter in your main rails app server and require no additional services. Edit: this is also why I mentioned GoodJob, it supports the full ActiveJob API (delays, retr

I really have to disagree. My perspective is somebody that did some Rails work >10 years ago, followed the hype/money into Node.js and eventually Go, then ended up working in Rails again ~4 years ago. In my experience a bog-standard

Ruby also has crystalball ( https://toptal.github.io/crystalball/ ) which is similar, but not quite the same.

The cases in which the Rack interface has a noticeable impact on a Rails app are so rare that I suspect it won't have any.

I agree with the gist of what you’re saying, but flexbox was widely supported (and used) for years before grid.

There was, but I don’t think it’s worked for a while now. Maybe there’s a new one somewhere?

Thanks, I hadn't heard of this case. Our company (and the competitors) are both based in Germany, so I think the EU trademark regulations would be applicable.

Does anybody know if this only verifies _new_ commits? I've been signing my commits with my SSH key for a while, but older commits still show as unverified in the web UI. They show the hash of the public key the commit was signed with,

I'm a bit confused, is Trealla prolog itself closed source? The README of this WASM embedding links to a private trealla-prolog/trealla repo.

I’ve never seen “proofed” used as anything but a hyphenated suffix meaning “protected against”. E.g. sound-proofed. It’s pretty normal to use “proved” in place of “observed” or “measured” in day-to-day speech though. Usually a few repeatab

I was surprised when I scored 7/10 on the simplified quiz, despite having never heard of Dennett (nor having read much philosophy). Probably just luck, but it would be a neat superpower.

In case you want to avoid an extra envelope, you can also add custom headers to SQS messages. This can be handy if you want to implement that delay hack without parsing message bodies.

That is way cheaper than I would have guessed. A yearly subscription for public transport in Berlin alone costs at least twice that.

> readability and maintainability are ... actually quite well defined. Would you care to expand on this? My experience has been that readability and maintainability are very subjective outside of extreme cases.

This looks really great, do you have any plans to support either arbitrary LSP servers, or integrate any more in a "blessed" way? I'd love to use this with Ruby & Solargraph for example.

As a counterpoint, one can view this as a feature and not a bug. An organization that fastidiously remembers everything might soon drown itself in memories, as it attempts to fit every new piece of information into the context of all memori
