Most apps need SSO first and it’s become a more widespread need in orgs of all sizes (not just large enterprise). We decided to feature SSO more prominently in our marketing for this reason. But the API docs gives weight to other features.

We're planning to push all configuration to metadata endpoints for providers who support it. There are additional benefits for refreshing SAML certificates (usually every 5 years) and dynamically adapting to other attributes changing.

Yeah :P But what are you building? Do you work at an agency building lots of new products? Or building internal apps? Seems most companies don't need new boilerplate as everyone is just adding code to the existing product.

We've taken a slightly different approach to this at WorkOS. (I'm the founder.) We decided to handle authentication but explicitly _ not _ user management or authorization. This means our API is essentially just an OAuth2 wrapper
