There's no back end code used with this (assuming you mean server side). I've never tried flocking but it looks interesting. The library I wrote, MidiPlayerJS, just emits JSON events and in my demo I'm feeding those into a

Eh, I guess it was mainly the learning curve and lack of payoff. As mentioned here, I think my project size wasn't big enough for it to show it's usefulness.

I gave TypeScript a try but honestly thought it was more trouble than it's worth in most javascript applications/libraries. Maybe that's just the lazy person inside me, or maybe my projects aren't big enough to make use

You can use straight PHP in blade templates if you want. Even with blade tags, for the most part it's still just PHP.

Definitely Laravel. My company switched over at the end of last year and it's been great. I think it meets all your requirements except for `no php code in templates`, though I think you'll always have to have some minimum templ

I mean, if you're talking about keeping the SAME living standards moving from somewhere cheaper to SF then that would apply to any major city really. Just depends on your priorities I guess and what you like.
