Not sure what an AI journalist is supposed to be or do, but a lack of one does not promote someone who is not it automatically into the position.

Your broad attack on me as a person is unnecessary. If you read my post carefully, you will realize that I did not make any contradictory statements.

If Sonnet 4.5 is always better than Opus 4.1, then it doesn't make sense to plan with Opus. I hope this is the case.

There is no bug in my logic. Anthropic and OpenAI are not chinese first party providers.

I auto disqualify the chinese first party endpoints. If they are okay for you, then sure go ahead. Enjoy the caching. What other provider is going to support it?

Sure. But there is no way I'm going to use the deepseek endpoint. Openrouter says they might use your data for training.

One huge problem with these "cheap" models is that they happen to be more expensive in the typical agent workflow if the provider does not support caching. Input and output costs are peanuts compared to the order of magnitude(or m

Most of us do nothing but remix the past solutions. Since we don't know what else might already exist in the world without digging very deep, we fool ourselves into thinking that we do something very original and unique.

Python has stable and mature libraries for all kinds of use cases, without the churn of JavaScript, without the stigma of Java and without the bad taste of Microsoft. It is the default choice for a good reason.

Telling the agent to very much not do something is a lost battle. It will make everything worse, not just the stuff it messed up already. If you expect a genuine understanding of your instructions, you will be very disappointed, no matter w

Jeez, grow some balls. Ban TikTok and then make your own shitty algorithm without competition, if they decide they want to keep a dead cow.

I'm sure some do. But I can't imagine something like Kiro(not an endorsement) would market itself with vibe coding, since its whole point is methodical spec driven development. Was it perhaps author's wishful thinking?

I guess it will decrease the need for custom software. If this is reliable, excel will be "enough" for longer.

Yes we did. Still, it is the lesser of the possible evils. Trump needs to be "managed" until Russia goes back to pretend to play nicely with the European neighborhood.

Some would argue that the home theater is a superior experience to a crowded, far away movie theater where the person's head in front of you takes up a quarter of the screen. The same can't be said for local inference. It is alway

What a great use case. It demonstrates how much the LLM use can boost productivity on specific tasks where the complete manual implementation would take much longer than the verification.

It's a crazy upside-down world where the Mac Studio M3 Ultra 512GB is the reasonable option among the alternatives if you intend to run larger models at usable(ish) speeds.

I don't think anything is clear about the possibility of full self driving under all conditions. We could be 2 years away from it or 200. Who knows? Elon doesn't, despite his best misinformation efforts. Also, private busses? I do

Using an established analysis tool like sonarcube is probably the way to go. There is no difference between human made and AI made bad code, so I don't think we need specialized tools for that.

FP16+ doesn't really matter for local LLM inference, no one can run reasonably big models at FP16. Usually the models are quantized to 8/4 bits, where the 5090 again demolishes the w7900 by having a multiple of max TOPS.

How good is it though compared to 5090 with 32GB? 5090 has double the memory bandwidth, which is very important for inference. In many cases where 32GB won't be enough, 48 wouldn't be enough either. Oh and the 5090 is cheaper.
