So you’re heavily invested in this AI bubble then. Your biggest holding is Nvidia.

It would certainly reflect word patterns that were present in the data. Is that enough for motivation and emotion? I’d say no but I think it is a fair point that you could see those as transmitted from the original (if not felt or generated

Not seeing any significant disruption showing up in revenue etc from inside the industry, there’s growing skepticism about these tools and the claims made for them. They can be useful but are not world changing or actually replacing jobs. W

You are perhaps not as diversified as you think in this top heavy market. https://stockanalysis.com/quote/lon/VWRA/holdings/ ~ 5% Nvidia as biggest holding and 20% in US listed tech companies (most of wh

The agent will cease to exist after the run in any case. It has no inner life, it has no agency. Stop attributing human emotions and motivations to LLMs, they generate text (and in this case actions based on this text), but they do not have

I feel obliged to step in here to say there is a grey area where these are useful tools for some applications but not on the path to AGI. Unfortunately the hype machine has far outstripped their capabilities so far, and the amount of mone

Em dashes are not the problem, nobody cares about their use. Shoddy and melodramatic writing that doesn’t even make sense is the problem.

It certainly is true, from experience. You’ve never actually hired an electrician or gas engineer to work on your house have you? Also it’s not trust the experts because they are humans but trust the experts because they are experts.

This is not always true - e.g. gas engineers and electricians do safety critical work every day without supervision, and we trust them to do so because they are certified and they are held responsible for failures. The same standards of car

Great example, but not for the reasons you think. You have zero qualifications to make that judgement call. You don’t know if the standard protocol was right in this instance or inappropriate (depends on dose side effects etc etc) and I cer

AI psychosis. No, LLM generated answers are not the same as those from a qualified expert. Of course you should trust a human if that is their job and you should never trust a word generator to give you accurate answers to an important ques

We know they are, and the author of the article cites the proof. LLMs do hallucinate, there is no way to make them not do it, because of the way they work.
