Funnily enough, the article starts off with 'baking is an ancient science ,' but doesn't really appreciate being scientific about the process.

I see, thanks for the points. I still wonder about the longer term formation of a smaller but more extreme group.

Can we use a Mastodon instance as a containment unit? /s It really looks like the attempts at censorship have failed, and it doesn't look like it's working against disinformation. In fact, these people might (and probably do)

Mind that an umlaut is the double dots (Ö, Ü, Ä, etc.) above letters; accents are any of the ones that are attached to the 'base set.'

This hits the nail on its head: Convenience in payments is such a great factor in making such models successful. People should be able to make these small and (individually) insignificant payments without having to jump through three fact

A framework I wanted to trial provided VB VMs instead of containers, definitely made me stop for a bit and think if I wanted to use VB (ended up using it anyway).

Sure, that's great it's written down. Doesn't mean we have to agree to the rules. The complaints about paywalled articles are warranted, and we should take a stance about it whether the debate itself is viewed as off-topic or

There have been ARM chips with added instructions for faster JavaScript processing due to some very odd and non-standard behaviour for common operations. See https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50966676/why-do-arm-

What many people don't realise (especially in HN) is that DDG is not as good as Google, in my experience, in looking for non-English content. One of the things that stopped me was the lack of good Dutch results that Google can pick up

There are also JS maps which allow you to download the obfuscated blob but still view more or less what is the original code; used for debugging React/JSX code, for example.
