You should put some contact details into your profile, so people can reach out directly. Sounds like you have some specific interests, and interesting skills, I'd be down to chat. My contact details are on my profile, send an email!

Hoping they eventually relent and provide authentication/authorisation themselves. Not keen on relying on Microsoft or Google for this low level control over my network.

Correct. Messing with military related tech falls into an entirely different "fuck around and find out" category.

A Garmin InReach does not work as an SOS device without an active subscription.

Ahh, the dangers of writing a comment whilst distracted. I meant rather to include the context you need to have yourself; something akin to "you must be this tall to ride", "you need a doctorate in physics to have a chance of

This leads me to a different path. Some (most?) papers require an almost absurd amount of context; in the extremes, single digit audiences with the knowledge to understand. Perhaps putting that context into publications would be more effect

Given gift card tax scams are still a massive problem, it's doesn't seem like a stretch to think even very dumb AI could manipulate someone into progressing its goals.

The t-shop is exceptionally quick at taking you somewhere random, which I amusingly discovered several hours into my first character. IIRC the player run rescue service managed to get me back to AM.

The level of rigor in making planes (even light aircraft) safe vs. "we tried this a few times, should be fine" are very far apart. Hard to fault them.

Our instructed range limit was a couple of km's, but the practical limit was a calculated "when the streetlights come on, can I ride home fast enough that mom won't suspect". Sadly never crossed my mind to figure out wha
