Nope, sorry, blockchain is still shit tech. Permissionless & censorship resistant better keep looking.

I am looking at this from the tech viewpoint, I'm a systems architect. Blockchain is garbage tech, useful mostly for unregulated gambling (because there isn't a central point you can squeeze). For practically all legitimate use ca

Vue.js 3 + Vert.x backend (plus Nuxt if I needed SSR). If less interactivity were required, Rails (or rather Grails) and Alpine.js. But it's not that these technologies are inherently better than something else, I'd simply go with

Please stop using "it just works", you're not Apple's marketing department. Sure it just works for some people, but Linux distros and Windows also just work for some people. I've had and I've experienced a fair

Had one like that, too. The previous programmer didn't believe in constants and the code was interpreting a binary protocol. Globals all over the place, too - I refactored a variable once and got a message that production is down; it w

The festival itself may be young, but the tradition is way older: pre-Christian and found in various forms all over central Europe.

The crypto community has been so bad at denouncing and excluding the bad elements and ideas from within itself that more and more people simply want to have nothing to do with you. We know you can spend pages and pages on your yes-buts but

A colleague of mine and I tried to asses VS Code vs. Intellij IDEA for vanilla JS & Typescript + Vue. Him a heavy VS user, me more at home with Intellij. In both cases we concluded Intellij proved superior, though both were usable.

Groovy is absolutely phenomenal for scripting. Optionally typed, has the entire Java ecosystem of libraries available (with no extra download or build files neccessary), very good IDE support, mature, extremely rich common library, great pe

It is Slovenia, as others have guessed. It's just one way people find to express their predjudice, I'm sure others exist in any other part of the world. My last name ends with a C and it sometimes gets written with a Ć and I don&#

In this part of the world the name would be quite political. We only use the letter Č (pronounced as ch) but our neighbors also use Ć (pronounced the same, only softer.. it's literally called "the soft Č"). There are a lot of

I actually like the AUX input because at least it works predictably. Last time I tried getting a (purely software) Bluetooth compatibility problem fixed I was told it works in the newer car models if I perhaps wanted to browse them? And not

Java is verbose by design while Kotlin is pragmatic. That's why I prefer Kotlin, even though on the backend I could have just as well taken the latest Java. That, and strict null checking.

As a native speaker of Slovenian and a decent speaker of Serb/Croatian this is not true for these particular Slavic languages. I can say "Grem v trgovino" / "Idem u dučan" (I'm going to the store) and it i

Another jOOQ fanboy here - it's not just the manual that shows DSL->SQL, you can just .toString() most of jOOQ constructs in your code and get the raw SQL out. In fact, I believe you can just take that .toString() and put it straigh

That's what it always comes to, doesn't it? It can't be that bad if it turns a profit. The same argument used by pirates, slave traders, tobacco CEOs and money printing central bankers.
