I like DDG in theory a lot, and have switched my default search to it, but admittedly still end up going back to Google a lot, as DDG often doesn't bring up what I'm looking for, whereas it'll be the first result on Google.

So you would have preferred the pilot author make different uninformed, speculative claims about the cause of the crash? That's the whole point: no one reporting on or writing about this has all the facts yet

I will agree with what you're saying to an extent, but I think the threshold of lifestyle you're talking is quite low by your average SF tech worker's definition. All of the people I know who encountered crime in Oakland were

Sorry I should have been specific about meaning places to live and commute to SF. You could do that from the Nut or Freemont I suppose, but that's a far commute, and a whole separate discussion about why I wouldn't suggest that

I don't mean this to play into stereotypes etc, but just as a matter of experience, every single person I know who's lived in Oakland for any significant amount of time (say 1 year or more), over the past 5 years, has been robbed

Maybe not as much of a concern. It's likely the car needs to warm up for a few minutes when starting, so you don't want to do that idling inside. Easy enough to just drive in and immediately shut it off though.

I see one posting in England, but damned if I can see how to add another! I'm assuming location has to match the auto-complete whitelist, and the only London(s) that show up are not the one I need.

YUI gets a bad rap because of YUI2. YUI3 was a ground-up rewrite that addressed all of the overkill from 2 and them built an awesome library that includes things like modules and models/views, as well as things you expect like DOM, rea
