You're not far off from describing various lisp modes on emacs. Not trying to derail, but just share some existing art in the space. Take a look at SLIME+swank for Common Lisp, or Geiser for Scheme, or Cider for Clojure. A common archi

It depends on how much original creative effort went into it. Copyright is fuzzy on purpose. Copyright vests automatically and immediately in the creator of a creative work. This can be assigned or licensed to another party in part or in wh

Make sure you have legally obtained copies of porn if you do this. Unfortunately, it does not seem unreasonable to me that doubly illicit images (copyright-violating porn) could lead to a cause of action against the holder of the hard drive

In legal terms, a contract is an enforceable agreement; by definition if it is illegal or void or unenforceable, it is not a contract. Breach is a thing you do to a contract. Therefore you can't breach an illegal contract - you never

It's a matter of tense. I think we're all agreeing in this sub-thread. I am focusing (perhaps too much) on the tense issues. Without tense, "no password reset mechanism", to continue using the same example, represents a

I've worked with several large healthcare organizations in a consulting capacity. You would be laughed out of a room for suggesting SSN or name and birthday as the primary identifier for an individual. All used an internal patient ID.

I responded in more depth to a sibling[0]. SSNs are not valid for use in uniquely identifying individuals. If you try to use an SSN as a primary key for U.S. individuals you are in for a world of pain. [0] https://news.ycombinato
