Gonna rant but other than using 100% open source software what can we do? I think I kind of wish it was illegal to collect data without very explicit opt in and no loss in functionality. (Note: HP apparently asked for permission AFAIK Faceb

I like advertising. I don't like distractions and I don't like being tracked but I enjoy seeing ads for products in fields I like. I'm old though and throughout the 80s and early 90s subscribed to several magazines in large p

Random comment. I've monitored the discussions of WHLSL/WSL vs SPIR-V and I can't decide which side I'm on. I started in the SPIR-V camp. I liked the idea that WebGPU would just get "shader assembly language" a

WebGPU is for the Web. You're expected to be able to put up a webpage and have it run everywhere (as much as is possible). Vulkan is designed so you have to make paths for every differen type of hardware. That's a non-starter for

I tried to submit some data but the MDN format seemed to me to be poorly thought out to me (though maybe I just didn't get it). If I understood correctly, in order to add any data you need to add data for all browsers. You can't j
