RescueTime's "get focused" feature actually works pretty well, if you don't hack it. It lets you define certain sites as distracting and then set a timer that will block them if you try to visit during the time in question.

You need two basic things. One is at least a basic way to organize your projects and tasks, ideally in such a way that you "capture" everything that needs to be done, and also can "focus" on the few things you're prioritizing or likely to g

The new Flickr iOS app has pretty much all the features of Instagram. It's community, long dormant, seems like it's re-awakening. The #1 test for me is, when I come back to the app, is there new stuff from my friends. The answer so far s

It needs to be said that one of the original value propositions to flickr was their API and famous "you show me yours, i'll show you mine" policy -- basically letting users take all their photos and data, including porting them to any servi

Twitter are fairly transparent in their policies. You should read this if you want to get a sense for how a large social network can operate with "best practices" -- at a level that's practical anyway -- with respect to protecting user info

I think this is incredibly interesting. The most out-of-the-box idea I've heard yet. There are lots of impracticalities, but it deserves to be part of the discussion. Is it getting traction anywhere?
